Association of Indians In Denmark-2009

Indians in Denmark Association has been formed to bring all Indians in Denmark together on a single platform. It originally started as a website (www.indiansindenmark.com) to give comprehensive information to Indians about Denmark. Over the last few months, the founder members of this site have successfully organized three fun events, connecting over 200 Indians together. Taking a step forward now, this Association has adopted a wider role in terms of offering more and better networking opportunities, as well as lending a helping hand to Indians in Denmark. It plans to organize cultural and fun events, meetings, family trips, apart from providing complete guidance on living in Denmark. It will act as a non profit organization with full transparency and credibility in its activities. We have also registered with Danish Tax Authority (CVR-nr 32211291).
How it will work Indians in Denmark Association will offer membership to Indians at an annual fee of 50 DKK for the year 2009. The board will decide all the event,Trip fee.If you want to become member of our Association, please make a membership fee to Association Account and send mail to us with your name, CPR, Phone number and your photo.we will update your data into our members list.

How the money will be used
We have a separate bank account for this group. Details are as follows

All the payments would be made from and to this account. The money collected through Association will be used for following purpose:

1. Association development like website maintenance and organizing events.

2. Donation to NGOs in India. The board members will choose the NGO after mutual discussion.

3. The board members will decide about spending excess money at the end of every year.

4. This money will not be spent for any personal usage of the members. To ensure transparency in this, the Association balance sheet will be updated every Quarterly and visible to all Association members on the website.

Achievements

www.indiansindenmark.com is the first website launched specifically for Indian community in Denmark.
The Association is first of its kind for Indians living in Denmark. Currently we have our members operating from Copenhagen and Aarhus.
We have organized three summer outdoor events since conception: Family cricket match, Ethnic Day n Cricket and Barbeque. Our fourth event will be held on 15th August 2009 to celebrate Indian Independence Day in association with Indian Ethnic Group. We have also planned a visit to Lord Ganesh Temple on 22nd August 2009 to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi. Through all these events, we have managed to connect over 200 Indians together.
We have tied up with National Food Store to offer 5% discount, along with home delivery of all items purchased to our members.
We have received sponsorship from Deep Restaurent for our site.
Ladies Club has been formed to bring all Indian female members for a weekly get together. This club also takes care of many activities of the Association.

Arrange for sponsorships to generate revenue for the Association.
Cricket club and Kids club.
